Vermilion Art successfully held a Zoom panel discussion conducted in Chinese regarding indigenous culture and contemporary art in early July, aligned with the NAIDOC (National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee) Week Program and the exhibition ‘Alchemy of Mountains & Sea’. Panel members include artists Guan Wei and Zhang Huajie, Curator of Chinese Art at Art Gallery of New South Wales, Yin Cao, and Director of the Australia-China Institute for Arts and Culture at the Western Sydney University, Professor Jing Han.
